| Posted: 25 Nov 2019 12:53 PM PST Playing as a whirl/rend barb on console. Lucked out and a primal ancient BK warrior blood dropped on my first gr70. Since then I have picked up 17 (not an exaggerated number) BK warrior bloods via drops or upgrades or blood shards and not a single Solemn Vow. Am I losing my mind? Am I doing something wrong? | S19 Solo Starter Guide on Switch Posted: 25 Nov 2019 01:10 PM PST I may have had the fastest start to my season yet got my GR20 clear in about 3hrs this morning. Thought I might share my RNGesus moments and stuff i did to maximize my early journey. Shoutout to bluddshedd his guides are truly amazing and if you haven't seen his season primer he's my go to for this kind of stuff. https://youtu.be/kMlWZZh9gU4 What I did personally that I think made a huge difference:
Lucky for you guys it's monday and if you messed up on your CR bag yesterday you can do another one today. Really worth it. If you get any of the multipliers above you should be set to have an easy start. Otherwise it's fine. Also if you need any lv1 drops to cube you can always just make a lv1 seasonal monk and go to town. There are great stuff at lv1 like Crudest Boots and Rivera Dancers or even Squirt's Necklace if you are really desperate for that drop. I got Cesar's Memento and that's it for my free gambling.
I've been doing Halls of Agony Massacre runs till I got my lv70 weapon but I tried just going Nephalem Rifts from the start and it was amazing. The drops are just so much better in rifts anyway so whatever lack of exp you get from inefficiency you will make up for in loot. I skipped all the other tricks to be honest and just grabbed my Templar's gear and went straight at it.
So with my previous style of leveling I focused more on amassing those 200+ massacre bonuses that were really good as far as power leveling goes but being on more unpredictable maps with the Rifts I decided to just focus more on being efficient. If I get the massacre bonus it would be great but not the main priority. The extra loot really helped out my RNG and this was my luckiest season to date.
I got Cesar's Memento and I never really used it right away at level 16 because I was never that comfortable with Tempest Rush although I have built it before in vanilla D3. This was probably my biggest mistake in my season start and I could have easily gone up a lot faster if I just went in on TR right away. The power is definitely there.
I got mine around lv40 because I happened to drop The Balance so I had 2 multipliers for TR really early. I cubed both the Balance and Cesar's Memento as soon as my cube was up. This allows for toughness upgrades sonce gaining multipliers allows you to tackle Torment levels early.
I got my 2 multipliers early and my lv70 weapon rolled reduce level require by 26 which means at lv44 I was a beast. I let this get to my head and stubbornly tried to finish a t6 rift while dying over and over again. If I would have just started on T1 then go up a level after every rift I think I could have saved some more time.
Your benchmark is T4 if you clear that pretty easily then you will get your GR20 clear as well. Always go with what's missing. Dying all the time? switch to toughness skills and passives. Clearing too slow? switch to dps Skills and Passives. Remember to get your lv61 jewelry as soon as you can and cater to your Multipliers. Can't go wrong with Dex-Crit-Crit where you can get it. By the time you get to lv70 you'll have another 200-300 bloodshards and I think you won't go wrong going to your lv1 alt and gamble for bracers again to ride the multiplier through GR20. It is possible to break GR20 without any multiplier as shown by the bluddshedd guide. Good luck!

| New set tempest rush rune stacks keep resetting around 20 for no reason Posted: 25 Nov 2019 07:07 AM PST Hey, I really love the new monk build(s) and pushed two weeks of nonseason as SWK temp rush. Never had issues with anything. Now in season I try the new set and I managed to clear 105 with 700 para with it, but I rarely can get stacks over 20-40. They just randomly disappear... It's not because of big mob types, jailor, teleporter or something. They even disappear while walking channeling without enemies around. Seems very buggy to me, don't have the problem on SWK even though same keybind/button.... WTF? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 25 Nov 2019 03:46 AM PST Hello, I wondered because 6pieces + vengeful wind is 1500x13=19500% buff to TR while poj is only 15000 and SW isn't doing enough damage to matter right ? However top monks are evenly splitted between SW and PoJ users so i don't really understand, is it because PoJ is simpler to play in terms of spirit management ? [link] [comments] | ||
