    Identifiable changes in armor.

    Posted: 12 May 2021 01:34 PM PDT

I made a list of notorious changes made to the armors for each class. I used the video and site below for the comparisons. I am upset about some changes and I like others. But the main purpose of this post is to try to show that even when the reference material is pixelated sprites one can easily recognize features in them. And yes, I think much controversy would have been averted if Blizzard had adhered to the original designs.

    Site:https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_computer/diablo2diablo2lordofdestruction/

P.S. I may be wrong about the points mentioned here, but my objective is that you see some main identifiable features that have been changed for armors.

I am not complaining about character models in general here or about how they look in the character creation screen.

Thanks to the individual who made the video. I hope he or she doesn't mind.

    Barbarian

Heavy - Original was shiny black with golden. Remastered is almost matte gray and yellow. Also the right shoulder spikes were much darker.

Medium - Original had shiny gray metallic parts, the rest was black and golden. Also had a big back ring. Front ring was significantly reduced in size. Not much leather seems visible.

Light - Original had no left forearm protection, just a glove. Chest ring was significantly bigger. Back ring is gone.

    Assassin

Light - Thighs were uncovered, robes darker.

Medium - Metal pieces were darker.

    Necromancer

Light - Shoulder plates were darker, didn't have a hole in his back. Leather was darker, not brownish.

Medium - Red in pants was darker, and boneless chest sections were darker. Skull on the right shoulder was easily identifiable. Chainmail covering his rear was v shaped.

Heavy - Gloves, abdomen and thighs were darker. Metal seems too bright in comparison with original.

    Druid

Light - Right shoulder protection is smaller now and it was golden. Chest is now covered.

Medium - Left shoulder stripes are gone.

Heavy - Chest center shiny orange circle is gone. Gloves were orange. Boots had a shiny yellow metal section.

    Paladin

Light - Seems pretty much consistent with the original.

Medium - Seems pretty much consistent with the original.

Heavy - The area covering his rear wasn't split.

    Sorceress

Light - Skirt was over the green strand of cloth. Skirt was shorter.

Heavy - Boots were thicker towards their upper section.

    Amazon

Light - Thighs were uncovered. Front and back pieces covering her rear weren't separated like a roman skirt. She doesn't seem to be wearing sandals.

Heavy - Left Shoulder plate was bigger than the right one. Armor was wider around her thighs.

What do you guys think about my Paladin build? I am new to the game.

    Posted: 12 May 2021 02:22 PM PDT

Please don't be mean and downvote i am new to the game and to Reddit (i created my account 3 days ago and i have only 1000 karma)!

My Paladin build: Lvl 41 (Nightmare). 101 Strength, 60 Dexterity, 120 Vitality, 22 Energy.

20 points in Zeal and Sacrifice, 1 point in vengeance, smite and charge (though i don't use any of them), and 2 points in Salvation. I don't use Sacrifice, but it adds strength to Zeal.

Thanks to Salvation, i am on 75 cold and fire resistance, 64 lighting resistance, and 19 poison resistance (i know it needs addressing, but i have managed to beat Andariel anyway, so), including item bonuses.

I use a two handed claymore. My Zeal rating is 1335, and damage is 185-383.

    Is it a bad build?

    Please don't be mean!

    D2/PoE vs Diablo 3?

    Posted: 12 May 2021 09:45 AM PDT

Anyone able to tell me how Diablo 3 compares to D2/PoE in these various ways? I might buy the D2R+D3 pack and i'm wondering if it's worth getting Diablo 3 for the gameplay other than story.

    .

    .

    Build Variety

I'm not expecting poe levels of build variety but I assume it's at least more than D2?

    .

    Character Customization

I heard that you cannot set your own attributes in the game and that something weird is going on with the skills?

    .

    Endgame PvE

In D2 there's boss farming, trav runs, chaos and baal runs, ect... And path of exile has maps and map/atlas bosses with unique drops and such.

    .

    Group Activities

Do most people play the game solo or are making groups/parties the main way to go? I usually find myself playing solo in PoE when i'm doing maps and such.

New Gameplay of Diablo Immortal - Mad King Breach

    Posted: 12 May 2021 01:47 PM PDT

D2R could strongly benefit from a system where you can increase aLvl difficulty

    Posted: 12 May 2021 06:38 AM PDT

It could be a direct /players but i think something like inferno where you beat the story on Hell then get the opportunity to beat it again in Second level of hell, then third, up to 9 like the 9 circles of hell. each level granting +2 to area/monster/item level(some TC shenanigans)

    ———————

    • This system would allow increase in difficulty/challenge

    • It would also create a new leaderboard

    • The difficulty it brings could even buff party play

    • But more importantly, it would Open all areas of the game to MFing, not being retrained to pits, ancient tunnels, chaos and worldstone to get good items and runes

You could do Countess runs and it would be worth it to kill monsters on the way

Play in The 9th level of hell and you can have Tyrael Might drop from blood raven... but one hella hard blood raven, stronger than ubers

It's no change to gameplay, just additional layers of difficulty which end up in more Viable area diversity

Inb4 people bash saying it's like inferno, inferno wasn't a bad concept... it was a shit implementation
