I've been playing around with D2's RNG functions and made a python-web program to simulate loot drops from bosses (quest) and other monsters.

Act bosses, cows, countess, council
Normal, Nightmare and Hell difficulties
/Players settings and MF settings

D2R graphics were taken from the street day trailer

Just something to play around with. Farm on the side while you farm in-game.

Duri drops and TP scrolls

Countess drops more runes on /players1

Pew pew lasers! A wish for D4

I hope, more than anything, that there are way less lasers in Diablo 4. They seem so lazy and out of place in D3. I'm talking the sentries, half of the wizard skills, and probably a bunch of other stuff.

Set Dungeons

Might be an unpopular opinion, but Set Dungeons are the worst mechanic game. There is no incentive to complete them other than Conquest and the season requirements. If they added a guaranteed Ancient (with chance at Primal) drop from the set for the first time you master it, I would do more of them.

Best way to run/install multiple diablo 2 mods?

I'm wanting to try project diablo 2, the median xl and some other mods. I'm wanting all of them plus vanilla lod installed at the same time so I can compare them. Is the best way to do this a mod manager or just finding a way to install d2 multiple times? Also are there any other good mods for coop PvE play?

What's the best way to farm ethereals without cheesing?

Well, title. I'm fighting the urge to cheese ethereals by lvl 5 puzzle rings, as I originally planned to make a strong Exp farming build via gems of ease and power through to 70 with every class (I only play solo).

But, so far, 17h in, I just dropped one ethereal. Granted, I'm mostly farming gems still, but my question is regarding to the most optimal way to farm regular dropping ethereals.

Would it be speeding through normal T16 rifts or farming the highest GR I can in about, say, 5 mins?

In any case, I'm stocking on puzzle rings in case I need them on the final weeks...

This might be reading into things, but it's likely when they were programming this that they knew what intention was.

Saying, "Collect all 21 Ethereals during the Season to unlock their appearances as transmogs."

The fact that they don't mention the specific season might imply that they are anticipated to return later assuming it turns out well. It might not be an every season thing, but something that comes occasionally like a 4th cube slot.
