A Joint Statement from the Moderators Regarding Sexual Harassment at Activision Blizzard

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 01:01 PM PDT

As moderators of the subreddits for Activision Blizzard's games, we vehemently condemn the sexual harassment and hostile working environment alleged in the recent lawsuit between Activision Blizzard and the state of California. We will not be censoring this topic on our subreddits. We do not serve Activision Blizzard; we are unpaid volunteers with no affiliation to the company. Above all else we serve our individual communities and we believe this is an important discussion to be had.

Having said that, discussion surrounding this topic still needs to adhere to the rules of our subreddits. Victim blaming, sexism, and harassment of others will not be tolerated. We will try to keep the discussion consolidated to the existing main thread for convenience and visibility.

We stand by the victims of this situation, and we hope that this lawsuit is resolved in such a way that justice is met for those who deserve it.

We call for these issues to be addressed by Activision Blizzard appropriately and exhaustively. As a group of moderators, we are deeply saddened about these events and the hostile work environment created by them. We strive to make our communities inclusive and safe for all, and urge Activision Blizzard to take steps to demonstrate that they are doing the same.

    Signed, the moderators of r/wow r/Overwatch r/hearthstone r/starcraft r/heroesofthestorm r/Diablo r/warcraft3 r/classicwow r/woweconomy r/competitiveHS r/blizzard

VV - Please fix Client/Server animation recovery desync

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 02:31 PM PDT

Thank you. We need as much attention on this as possible. It is arguably the most intrusive, purely negative, bug in the game.

    More details: https://d2mods.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=53570&p=421355&

Please upvote this folks. It makes Melee builds in D2 near unplayable, and affects all aspects of the game. Ever cast a spell and had it fly off in a random direction without hitting anything? Yeah that's this, right here. Arrows flying right through enemies? Yup. Feel like you are more easily to stunlock when you have block vs not having it? Yeah, same thing.

This is a local problem. It is not exclusive to true multiplayer. The game also runs a server when you are in single player. And it will happen then as well.

VV, please fix obvious, negative bugs in the remaster. PLEASE

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 07:14 AM PDT

For example, the Fend bug, mana burn bug, the jewel enhanced damage bug, the inferno bug.

Lots of negative bugs and glitches have not been fixed in the game, and they are in no way necessary to keep the game at "classic" status.

I'd say, start with the obvious and big ones, do a top 3 or 5 list and then go on later when these are fixed

I could not give a damn about the eth bug, andy glitch or moat trick, but negative bugs that directly diminish the number of viable builds should absolutely be fixed. Thank you!

I think they should add like 2-3x quantity to arrows/bolts for D2R.

What was the thing you liked the most about diablo 2/3?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 08:17 AM PDT

i loved the runewords in diablo 2 so much. They gave so much depth to your character. It was amazing.

At D3 I think it was the sets where you had different playstyles or the Paragon Levels. I like to level endlessly.

    Mounts in Diablo

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 08:57 AM PDT

Seeing as this is Blizzard, it's reasonable to assume that they're only doing mounts for D4 because it's something that's easily monetisable, but are there any actual pros to having mounts? It's rather confusing to me as mounts suggest that the monster density will be low, which isn't what you want in a game like this.

These are pretty much my main gripes with mounts in Diablo:

    • Mount speed gear
    • Store mounts - Fuck off MTX
    • Removes you from the combat + Lower General Monster Density

I threw mount speed gear on there because I'd hate for there to be another Nemesis Bracers case where players are manually equipping and unequipping items ALL THE TIME to be efficient.

Store mounts obviously include any stupid cross-game promotions such as "buy <shit> and get a <shit> themed mount for Diablo IV!!!!1"

    New player to Diablo 2

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 04:20 PM PDT

Okay... I'm like 20 years too late on this or something but... I played the shit out of Diablo 3 as a Barbarian, and when I just recently decided to go back to D2 after watching a streamer play, I though, okay, I'll pick Barb. Weeeeeell... Turns out from what I've been reading, that was one of the worst ideas I could have had... If I have to start over, I will.

Can I just get some pointers and guidelines for a Newbie to Diablo 2?

    Voluntary level cap

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 08:01 AM PDT

For those who want to duel / pvp / etc. it would be nice to pick a level cap for your character at which point they no longer gain experience

D3 Rift Tournaments? (Need Feedback or Opinions!)

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 10:01 AM PDT

Has anyone ever seen a Diablo3 Tournament before?

With the new season coming out, and looking at team comps for different things like Rifts, Bounties, XP and so forth, I am curious if anyone has hosted or seen any kind of competition or tournament for D3?

The first thing I think of is a Rift tournament. A Solo, Duo and Squad competition to see who can complete the highest level Rifts (with tie breakers being who completes them the fastest). Does this seem possible? I would love some feedback, because if this catches interest I am going to host it and create it.

I am a content creator and Valorant player for Talentless Esports... so this could be a real event.

Is there any invisibility spells in Diablo 2

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:04 AM PDT

I've just started to play again and just wanted to ask if there is any similar ability or playstyle in Diablo 2 like Ekko from Lol or Mirage from Apex uses. Something like a stealth or invisibility.

Is there can't "explain me like I am 5" guide?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 11:27 PM PDT

I played diablo 2 in 2001 and made a mess of the characters, hardly finished nightmare. Now, since I pre-ordered D2R I am looking for some points how to distribute skills early in the game for each class separately. Most of the guides are focused on endgame and I remember, you can't just respec the characters in D2 like you can in Diablo 3

Requirement for creating hardcore characters needs to go

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 06:43 AM PDT

The requirement for creating a hardcore character should be removed

(You have to beat the game in softcore/normal mode once)

Some people have no interest in playing softcore at all

You could add a save file with a character that has beaten normal in softcore, but why burden us with this unnecessary step in D2R?
