If it's in the original game then it's not a change in the remaster... by their logic

This is the kind of dark, ominous, ambient music I hope D4 will have (not like the epic, heroic orchestral music D3 sometimes had)

Is there a god of hunger / gluttony anywhere in Diablo's lore?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 09:31 PM PDT

So, I'm kind of new to Diablo stuff, my dad always used to play it so I know a few things because I always asked so many questions, but this one has kind of stumped me. I'm going to be playing a table-top version of Diablo using Dungeons and Dragons as a base (although the D&D part doesn't really matter). Because it's homebrew we can basically go as crazy with our characters as we would like to, but we still have to make the characters believable. My character was going to be something of a "construct". A sort of vessel for the Creator to morph and shape into the perfect being for whatever they're trying to do. My character was going to be based around a mechanic where he can eat a part of a fallen enemy and gain one of their attributes, so I was thinking affiliation with a god of hunger or gluttony would fit the best, but I haven't been able to find any god like that. Could somebody help me out? And, if there isn't any god like that, could somebody point me to the closest powerful being to deal with hunger / gluttony?

Will elite unique items finally get their own item art in D2R?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 07:12 AM PDT

Eg. Occulus/Death's Fathom, Lightsabre/Azurewrath all have the same item art. Blizzard got lazy in LOD so hopefully they would look different when our characters equip them too.

Is Blizzard planning to release D4 in late 2022?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 12:42 PM PDT

Whenever D4 was announced my original guess was late 2022, based on the article from Jason Schreier saying that they rebooted D4 all the way back in 2016, but that was obviously before covid started and I was slowly losing confidence in my late 2022 "prediction" over time.

But recently another big article came out from IGN that made me reconsider this.

In an email to employees obtained by IGN, Brack attributed the number to reduced second-half profits for 2020. Brack promised that better times were ahead, pointing to Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, and additional, unannounced projects as reasons to be optimistic.

"If we deliver on our slate of plans, we expect 2021 and 2022 to be great years for Blizzard," Brack wrote a month and a half before Kaplan's departure.

The 2nd part (quote from Brack) is interesting because we know they're planning to release D2R and DI this year. He specifically mentioned D4, OW2 and some unannounced stuff (which as a side note I think is an FPS or looter shooter but that's neither here nor there). If he's talking about plans for 2021 and 2022 would he even mention D4 if they're not planning to release it in 2022? Of course it's possible that D4 isn't needed to make the year 2022 a great year, there's always OW2, the announced stuff and maybe another WoW expansion. But if he mentioned D4 even tho he knew it will be out in 2023, wouldn't he say "we expect 2021, 2022 and 2023 to be great years for Blizzard"? D4 and OW2 are both their major releases with long term strategies. So if any of these 2 was planned for 2023 I'm pretty sure he'd also say "2023".

Maybe this is a "conspiracy hat" moment of mine because I just can't wait and I'm too excited. Of course this doesn't make me 100% sure D4 will release in late 2022, but it makes me think that they are at least currently planning to do that (IF "we deliver on our slate of plans".) So this can also mean their plans can change.

Then there's obviously another thing. Let's just assume that this is correct and today they're planning to release it in 2022 - How likely is it that Blizzard's plans will work out perfectly and there won't be any delays behind the scenes? Yea.. But well, at least I'm more confident in my original prediction and even tho every bit of logic tells me "2023 at best" I'll stick with late 2022 just for fun. At the very least it makes me confident that we're much more likely to get it in 2022/2023 rather than in 2024/2025 like *some* people think.

Anyway, if you have any guesses, I'd love to hear them.
