Are there any sort of Artificer class or character in Diablo?

    Posted: 17 May 2021 08:15 AM PDT

I'm running a DnD campaing based on the Diablo2 questline and one of my players wanted to play like an Artificer of sorts.

Is there any reference to that? Would an Artificer be too 'out of place' in the Diablo universe?

    Diablo 1 Multiplayer

    Posted: 17 May 2021 12:14 PM PDT

So I was feeling a little nostalgic and popped in Diablo 1 for the first time in 20+ years. Finished the game and wanted to see how the multiplayer was but it doesn't appear to work. Has this games multiplayer been discontinued?

A few questions for those of you that played the D2R alpha

    Posted: 17 May 2021 11:33 AM PDT

I'm expecting my PC to struggle with performance in D2R, especially in 8-person groups if there are multiple summon necros etc, as my PC is only just above the minimum system requirements. I'm still very excited to play the game though, even in "classic" graphics mode, just because of the influx of new players and QOL changes.

    So my questions are:

    1. For those of you who had poor performance in D2R such as low FPS, was this completely remedied by playing in "classic" graphics mode? or did your PC still struggle?
    2. When playing in classic graphics mode, were there still loading screens when going through town portals, entering dungeons, etc? Or was it instant like in the original?
    3. I noticed some completely new sound effects, such as a new "pain" noise for the sorceress. Are these new sounds still there if you play in the classic graphics mode? What about the rest of the audio? Does it use the remastered audio when playing in classic mode or the classic audio?

Thanks in advance, and apologies if these have all been asked and answered before.

Kanai's Cube Recipe to Lock Enchants

    Posted: 17 May 2021 04:30 AM PDT

Here's an idea than some might find useful. A recipe in Kanai's Cube that locks mystic enchants so that the properties of an item are as if it dropped that way, thus allowing a different property to be enchanted.

This is how I think it should work:

    1. 6 x Level 100 Legendary Gems or higher are required.
    2. 15 Billion (15,000,000,000) Gold is required.
    3. A Ramaladni's Gift socket is removed in the process.
    4. An existing Caldesann's Despair augment is removed in the process.

The high cost of this recipe is to make it so that it is not abused and needs to be worked for.

    What do you think?

EDIT: After some consideration, I think this recipe will work better if it can only be used once per item...
