Want guaranteed Primal Ancient Istvan's set? Here's how:

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 01:48 PM PST

I know for a fact this works on PS4 and Switch. Maybe someone can test this on PC and XBox and report back.

Firstly, finish your level 70 greater rift to unlock Primals.

Secondly, make sure your Blacksmith is fully upgraded so you can make rare level 70 swords, and make sure you have enough mats to make 6 and upgrade them to uniques. Don't make them yet, though.

Now, make a new barbarian, level 1 and jump into Adventure mode. Craft yourself 3 of those rare level 70 1 handed rare swords. Upgrade 3 of them. Boom. Your third one is always a Primal Ancient Istvan sword.

To get the other one, make a level 1 monk and repeat the process. The third one you upgrade is always the other sword of the set. Sure, you'll have to roll off the dexterity but it's a primal ancient at least.

I'm not sure how or why this works. I don't think it counts as an exploit because it's just normal gameplay and mechanics.

    Enjoy!

    Weekly Consolidated Gear Advice Thread

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 08:05 AM PST

To reduce clutter on this subreddit, please post your gear check questions in this thread only.

Please note that independent gear check threads will be deleted with a note to copy/paste that gear check here.

In order for others to provide useful feedback on your gearcheck, you MUST include the following information:

    • Your desired build

    • A link to your battle.net profile

    • A description or screenshot of how your paragon points are spent

    • A description of your what you want to accomplish with the gearcheck - e.g. your goals and/or problems - a grift difficulty level, ubers, a specific build or playstyle, etc.

    • An in-game screenshot of your stats with the details tab open is recommended, but not required - if we can see your dps, toughness, all resist, armor, hp, cc, cd, etc. as you see it in-game, it's easier for us to help you.

If you use printscreen and paste, it will show your desktop. But if you use printscreen and go into your Documents/Diablo III/Screenshots folder, you will find the in-game screenshot.

ANY post that does not include this information may not receive a response.

In addition, if you haven't done so already, take a look at the guides in our sidebar. Many of your questions will have been answered there.

Thank you, and may your sentries clear a path to victory!

Please note: The consolidated gear check posts are created every week (Tuesday) at approximately 2 PM GMT (7 AM Eastern)

[xBox] New Monk - New Player (EU Non Seasonal SC)

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 08:33 AM PST

    Hi all,

My partner and I have really been enjoying our casual gaming. As she doesn't get much time, and I have been enjoying the game so much, I have created a character to play when she isn't about. I have gone with a Monk but need some guidance. I am only level 40 (its taking me ages to level) but I cant find a build guide to follow. When I looked on DiabloFans there were like 3 Monk builds on there. Are monks in a bad spot? I have been using all the ice skills at the mo which I have enjoyed but I don't want to get to end game and it not be able to cope with things.

Can anyone suggest good build that's easy for a noob? Any advise on how to level fast and get some good starter farming gear?

    Thanks.

New Player Assistance - WW Rend Barb Hopefully

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 07:05 AM PST

    Hi all,

I am fairly new to the game (steep learning curve!). I have just dinged 70 in Softcore (non season) and have done 2 rounds of Bounties and 2 rifts. I really like the idea of a Whirlwind Barb that applies Rend but I am having some issues. The few guides I have seen are all fairly similar but when I copy the skills, runes and passives it doesn't work. I am assuming that this is because I dont have the right gear/legendaries. My question is... what do you do until you get those items? I am only confused as if the build doesn't work until you have the gear... but you are grinding to get the gear... what build do you use?

    Thanks.

This is his build he has everything thing in this build all equipment and same skills.

What's he doing wrong. I play mage and current on rift 85. I want to help him get to 70 but know. Nothing about necro.

Please help, currently he can't only keep his mages up for 15s,

He seems to instantly die on 70 too. He's not sure what he's doing wrong
