| Finally beat D1 with the Warrior! Posted: 05 Aug 2021 06:45 PM PDT It was quite a journey, and much more methodical than I expected! I kept getting to hell and then getting smashed by ranged mobs. After focusing on kiting, funneling, and drawing single enemies with my light radius I finally started making progress. The fight with Diablo himself was over faster than I expected, but seeing the credits roll for the first time since 98 or 99 was awesome. And this time without Gmod! | Posted: 05 Aug 2021 08:20 AM PDT I have just finished the game for the 2nd time after more than a decade since I first and the only time I completed it. It was a lot of fun but painful, it definitely has the best atmosphere in the franchise the pioneer in the ARPG genre but is has already been overshadowed by all it's successors in many ways such as graphics, mechanics, and voice acting which didn't really bother me except for one thing and that is the slow paced movement, I just can't see why my warrior couldn't run, it makes it hard for a warrior to take down Advocates and Succubus with melee attacks since they always run and non stop teleporting. I wish D2 resurrected becomes a success so that might prompt them to also remaster this masterpiece. Here is my playthrough if you want to check it out: [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 05 Aug 2021 04:03 PM PDT When D3 launched there was a slew of issues for the first few days. I spent a lot of time reloading the game and staring at the login screen trying to get in. Every time the crows cawed in the same pattern. Over and over and over again. Whenever i hear crows caw in real life, i feel like i get instant ptsd. Well...maybe not ptsd but to this day, something triggers my brain and immediately takes me back to those first couple of days of D3 launch. Anyone else ? No ? Just me ? [link] [comments] | ||

| Is it just me, or does the Fall of the High Heavens Arc feel too short? Posted: 05 Aug 2021 11:56 AM PDT I dunno, like…I feel like in comparison to the previous arcs, this one feels significantly shorter. Which is kinda crazy to me considering this is where Diablo himself really starts taking action and shit starts hitting the fan. I dunno, I just feel like this arc should've had more moments with the other angels, there should've been more than 2 measly Hell Portals to get rid of, and there overall should've been more to explore here. You can easily clear this whole arc in like, a half hour if we're being generous. [link] [comments] | ||

| CLAN for nostalgic d2, 100% legit players Posted: 05 Aug 2021 05:19 PM PDT CLAN is only self found items/trades within clan community. This creates the atmosphere of what it was like to originally play the game and make friends. You can Baal run with the Bots already in game to ease leveling but apart from that the only requirement is that you level fresh characters together/alone and only use items you find or trade between clan; no public trades, jsp, bots, etc. This also evens the playing field in PVP within clan, so your not competing with someone running a Bot 24/7 to get an unfair advantage.
