- I did not know that you could get the Butcher and King Leoric quests in the same playthrough! I am very happy that my nostalgia trip took me to both of these legendary quests!

Posted: 31 Jul 2021 03:36 PM PDT I know the whole lore is technically just whatever your current game quest needs it to be... but after going through some lore video in preparation for D2 resurrected, the more bonkers I realized of Tyrael's plan. So in the beginning, heaven and hell fought their massive battles. Because of their prime status (is that a thing?) Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal can't be killed (by the way, does that mean the 7 arcangels also can't be killed, since they are sorta the "prime" version of heaven?) and will merely be sent back to hell when struck down. So rather than playing an eternal wack-a-mole, Tyrael decided to imprison all the prime evils in a "controlled storage" using soulstones. My understanding of that is correct so far, right? Ok, then why did Tyrael have you, the player and Marius destroy all the soulstones using the hell forge? Is it so that he can... go back to playing eternal wack-a-mole? I know containment was breached, but like... wouldn't Diablo, Baal, and Mephisto also want to smash the soulstone prisons so that they can go back to playing eternal wack-a-mole? And if the prime evils wanted soulstones smashed, wouldn't the logical move to tell Marius to run away and hide????? Preferably not a random monastery? After the player defeated Mephisto and Diablo, wouldn't the logical thing is to bring it back and bury them again using this time... triple thick titanium super armor prison????? But, whatever, soulstone smashed... the most sacred object, World Stone, also gone because of.... well... Tyrael. After 3 games, basically everything reset with all the evils going back to respawn timer playing their favorite game of wack-a-mole. Heaven is minus 2 prime angels. Tyrael now presumably has a shelf life, being no longer immortal and all. World Stone is bye bye. So I mean... this is much worse situation than at the start of Diablo 1, no??? I mean, these series of maneuvers just seem like REALLY REALLY bad planning on the part of Tyrael. [link] [comments] | ||

We have been on version 0.0.1 since versions are uploaded (and encrypted) to their CDNs but this week they uploaded version 0.2.0 You can see the current version here: https://blizztrack.com/#diablo-iv If you want to see more, at DiabloNext, we have been tracking versions since the beginning: https://www.diablonext.com/versiones-de-diablo/ This is a significant increase in version number so it is definitely good news! This developer versions are encrypted and there is no way to download or open them. As for the meaning, my (very speculative) guess is that the game foundation is finished. Why is that a notable thing to change with such a painstaking approach to visual authenticity? The censorship is one thing (especially since you can just toggle the old game and see it uncensored) but why make such a random character change? If it's for realism, what's unrealistic about a young warrior? They often die young. Personally, I love playing characters in RPG's who are my age. More immersive for me. I'm excited for the remake but I just wish Blizzard would take these criticisms more seriously instead of assuming you're wrong for criticizing. Makes me feel like they think we're dumb or ignorant for saying anything. [link] [comments] | ||
