Why Video Game Loot Is So Addictive, According To The Creators Of Diablo

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 04:59 PM PDT

You can't deny that today it is a good to be a Diablo fan

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 11:26 AM PDT

Look, some time after the release of Reaper of Souls, it became less and less exciting to be a Diablo fan. Every BlizzCon we hoped for something great. Okay, we had Rise of the Necromancer, and I'm not saying that the recent years were BAD. It was just... okay-ish.

But now, oh my, it is so good. This is what Nevalistis was talking about! Even though D4 has long way to go, D2R for sure will bring a lot of enjoyment in the meantime. And I know how we like to riddicule Diablo: Immortal, but I'm excited for this too. Mainly because it WILL bring some new lore. I am a PC gamer and I hate how many mobile games operate, and how much AAA studios want that piece of cake. But hell, I'll play Diablo: Immortal a lot!

And of course we have very good communication with Diablo Community Development. Quaterly Updates, many posts on social media and great activity of PezRadar on this very reddit.

Now excuse me, as I'm getting out of Blizz's butt and going to have some dinner. Cheers

What Diablo 2 tips/tricks should everyone know/already know? (new and existing players)

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 12:22 PM PDT

I recently picked up D2 and have been enjoying it. I am a fairly new player. But I noticed that there are some common tips/tricks that everyone knows, but there is no single list. It is all scattered around various forums.

    The ones I currently know:

    • Andariel bug which gives you loot upon every kill of Andariel for your save
    • Maps have specific patterns that can be learnt
    • Horadric Cube can be used to get a few extra stash space

Please can you list any tips/tricks or common knowledge that Diablo2 players should know. I will compile all of them into a document and put it up on the web.archive so it stays with us forever.

Considering the great job VV has done with the game, I would have no problem and would be happy for them to add their own EastgerEgg to it

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 10:00 AM PDT

A special area or boss or item, etc

Ie: cube organ set and wirt leg in Chaos sanctuary's pentagram to spawn a alvl86 Cow level where everything is on fire and cows are Demonic bulls

It would be a way to them to sign Diablo's franchise participation, signing their name in the concrete

4v4 Diablo 2 PvP Mod Leoric's Castle is Opening!

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 09:03 PM PDT

Leoric's Castle will reopen its gates this Saturday April 18th!

Many months ago we opened Leoric's Castle to a handful of players for testing. The helpful feedback provided by the community has enabled us to rebuild Leoric's Castle into a more competitive and rewarding Team PvP game.

With Resurrected coming at the end of the year, Diablo II has seen a huge resurgence of interest and players. While our team looks forward to the player killing havoc of the Blood Moor in Resurrected, we would like to invite you to experience a new chapter in Diablo 2 PvP.

We welcome you to Leoric's Castle. Leoric's Castle is a softcore 4v4 team PvP game. The first team to kill King Leoric is the winner. Players will respawn upon death and can return to the Castle to keep fighting. Slay monsters. Gain Experience. Defeat Bosses. Collect Loot. Purchase upgrades. PK the enemy team. Think Gauntlet Legends meets the Blood Moor.

Players will be able to use the game-finder discord channel to join a queue and get matched against other teams.

Feel free to hang out in the discord and test out the Castle while more players find their way here. It could take weeks for enough players to fill the Castle so that 4v4 matches are happening regularly, but we are hopeful!

Leoric's Castle will be available for download tomorrow from leoricscastle.com at 10:00 PM EST.

We will be having a walkthrough and tour of the Castle at 2:00 PM EST on Sunday April 18th.

If you have any questions please stop by the discord . See you soon!

    Caldesann’s help

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 09:24 PM PDT

I'm only getting back into the game recently and i have a few questions regarding this enhancement. I'm running a wizard and everything is telling me to use topaz for my primary stat. Can I use rubies to buff my armor? And what is the level cap of the gems I can use? Thanks in advance!

    Opinion about difficulty level

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 11:54 AM PDT

So when we compare difficuly levels between D2 and D3, the main difference is the fact that you have tons of difficulty levels in D3. To me this is something that is a bad idea for many reasons : - The initial difficuly is wayyyy too easy, making your first clear of D3 world not scary at all. So all the lore doesn't make sense anymore : for exemple when we had asmodan telling us every 20m that we are gonna die and in the meantime we litteraly destroy every pack of monster, it's hard to consider that we have an important quest to realize. - Even after this first (and disappointing) first impressions of D3, it'll get even worse : by allowing players to precisely decide on which level of difficulty they want to play, there is never the jump we got on d2 when going from nightmare to hell. So finding gear to step from difficulty 13 to 14 just doesn't feel as cool as finding gear to go to the third and last difficulty mode of D2. In D3, the player never really has to make a decision between difficulty/reward, they'll just go to the highest difficulty where they can clear everything quickly.

I just doesnt understand how devs in D3 made such a poor decision about all that and hope they will not repeat these kind of obvious mistakes in d4.

D3: Floating combat text for my blocks?

    Posted: 16 Apr 2021 07:39 AM PDT

So I've been messing with the options for floating text, but I can't seem to figure out if there is a way to see how frequently I am executing blocks. Not the enemies defensive text. Is there a way to show my blocks?
