[D2R]Community Impressions and Feedback Posted: 08 Apr 2021 09:06 AM PDT The first of multiple Diablo 2 Resurrected Technical Alphas begins today for some select community members, with a larger pool of testing starting on the 9th of April. This will be the first time it will be available for the public to experience outside of pre-approved footage. Please feel free to use this thread as a place to share your impressions and feedback about the game, both for viewers and those lucky enough to get access to the Tech Alpha.
A: Acts I and II will be playable, with the Amazon, Barbarian, and Sorceress being the three playable classes. It will be single-player only and available only on PC, but with controller support.
A: Invitations to the Tech Alpha will be distributed throughout the day in waves starting at 7AM PT on 09-APR-21. You will receive an email to confirm your access. For additional information, please check out the official post about the Tech Alpha. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Apr 2021 10:02 AM PDT True story. I've been writing about Diablo and Blizzard games for a Russian fansite for almost 10 years. Our website is one the most active Russian Diablo community sites out there. And guess what? We didn't even get a response from Blizzard. This alpha is very clearly a limited streamer-focused promotional event. Think of it as of a BlizzCon demo they usually have at the show floor. There will probably be a time when they invite a decent amount of regular players, but it's not today. [link] [comments]
Refresh button for Gambling!!! Posted: 08 Apr 2021 12:47 PM PDT YAAASSSS!!! FINALLY!!! Thank Akarat for this new QoL feature in D2R!! [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Apr 2021 05:06 PM PDT Looks like we have extra loading screens that were not there in D2LOD. On top of that it also looks like the game is active while you load, which mean you could die during loading if you don't load fast enough. Some streamers have "decent" 1-2sec loading, others more like 5secs Your toughts? I personally would hate to die to a HOT baal TP because i'm loading on a nasty pack [link] [comments]
Always show loot should really be added... Posted: 08 Apr 2021 11:14 AM PDT Is anyone else disappointed they didn't add a toggle to always show loot? One thing I hated was having to always hold alt to loot things [link] [comments]

Has anyone noticed if any bugged skills have been fixed? Posted: 08 Apr 2021 04:15 PM PDT Things like Fend and Inferno have unintended bugs that make them pretty unuseable Very curious if thats something they have targeted or not [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Apr 2021 11:44 AM PDT The biggest problem I have with the "Horadric Cube", is that it's not actually a cube. It's not 4x4. It's not 5x5. It's not 6x6. Hell, it's not even 3x3. It's in a weird 4x3 dimension. Literally unplayable. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Apr 2021 07:18 PM PDT Is there any possible way to play the original diablo on a android phone ? Thanks 😊. [link] [comments]
[D2R] Anyone able to confirm 21:9 support? Posted: 08 Apr 2021 04:30 PM PDT I understand it's in alpha, but I am really curious about a few specific items. Full 21:9 support, unlocked framerate, and potentially HDR. HDR might be a pipe dream but man, would it be amazing. [link] [comments]
D2R: How are they addressing AI and wide monitors? Posted: 08 Apr 2021 03:40 AM PDT I can wrap my little mind around a graphical "skin" running over the original game, but I'm coming up short with an understanding of how Vicarious Visions are addressing AI and the original limits of a 4:3 aspect ratio. In the past, when mods widened the aspect ratio, players had non-reactive enemies along the borders, because programming only addressed enemies that were contained in the smaller "square" the game was traditionally viewed and played in. Enemies outside this space may as well have been furniture, because they would not respond to player attacks. In all the videos and articles I've come across, no one mentions how this situation is handled by the remaster. The game is clearly running in wider aspect ratios. In the past, this was described as a MAJOR roadblock to any possible remaster, so how are they managing it now? [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Apr 2021 02:21 PM PDT Hey kids, I just got my first horadric reliquary with my seasonal character. If I teach the plans to him, will he know them for my other characters? I hope that makes sense 😅 [link] [comments]
Nearly died today to something weird Posted: 08 Apr 2021 01:36 PM PDT Hi guys! A weird thing happened to me today. I was playing D2 and as I entered City of the Damned in Hell difficulty I started taking huge amounts of damage with no mob on the screen. I run around for a while and I spotted a unique Oblivion Knight in the corner of the screen, and the damage type was cold i think (both me and merc had CBF), so my guess would be that the mob had Holy Freeze aura, but is it possible it had such a range, doing insane amount of damage (like half of my whole pool of over 1000 HP, with decent resists)? And the strangest of all, my Bone Armor was also taking damage, which should only happen for physical, right? I tried to approach the monster a few times, but finally gave up after I was brought to a sliver of life, as I didn't want to lose my char. Have you ever seen something like this? Some streamer used a ultra wide screen to play Diablo 2 REZ? Posted: 08 Apr 2021 08:49 PM PDT i guess not many streamer use a ultra wide screen but ... i really want to know if this is working like a charm or..if we got those 2 black squares :( [link] [comments]

DII:R's Tetris Inventory - Controller Posted: 08 Apr 2021 04:19 PM PDT So I've seen videos showing how it seems to be unnecessarily filling up the entire screen. Also, it uses a mouse-like cursor to move stuff around. Compared to Resident Evil 4's Tetris inventory management, does the one they came up with feel good enough? Or do you think RE4's approach would've been much better? The latter was one of the things I liked a lot in RE4 as it was pretty relaxing to move stuff around with it. [link] [comments] |
