I read an interview of Hades main dev saying how he is a big Diablo fan and how Hades main lore thing is basically Diablo reversed: instead of going down to Hell, you start in Hell and make your way up.

    "PvP LLD" mini community?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 06:16 AM PDT

    I) What is LLD Project?
LLD Project is a idea where a Starter Edition accounts fight in PvP area. Why Starter Edition accounts? For this reasons:

    - It's free! You can make a Starter Edition account without pay for additional D3 account.
    - Itemization of low level characters items is better than high level characters items for PvP (no oneshot kills in theory)
    - You can't share items or get items with a "powerful" character, you only can get items with level 13 characters.
    - No paragon or level 70 items crafted to use with low level characters (this breaks the game again)

We know, HLD are unbalanced because there is a itemization than breaks damage values (in RoS is definitively, unplayable) for this reasons:
    - Excesive damage done by players, low life in players compared to his damage.
    - Critical Damage (500% or more)
    - Set items and legendaries combined increase the damage of a skill to do BILLIONS of damage. Characters can reach MILLIONS of life (focusing his gear in vitality and defensive mods).

Brawling mode had his own moment first weeks/months in his release, but after that, this mode was be in unused. Of course, this mode can't be compared with Diablo II pvp because in Diablo II you can do teams, games of 8 players, and you can hunt players entire Sanctuary (PK in HC), but maybe, we can do something to use this mode and enjoy it.

    II) Limitations of LLD Project
    Starter Edition have this limitations:

    - You only can play with Classic/Vanilla classes (Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Demon Hunter, Monk and Wizard)
    - Max level is 13 (it means 4 active skills and 1 passive skill)
    - Last quest is "Reign of the Black King (Kill the Skeleton King)"
    - 4 characters per account
    - Shared Stash limited to 1 stash tab (enough for me)
    - No jeweller (obviously), but there is enchanter, and you can reroll mods in the items and transmog items. Also, you can use Blacksmith.
    - You only can play with another Starter Edition accounts

This is a quick info, i have a PDF with all info about this "project" but i need see if is viable (we make a minicommunity and gameplay looks enjoyable)

I made a video......... 7 years ago! (now a lot of skills has changed, so i need to test new skills)

    Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULt_aixNlBo

Feedback, suggestions and ideas are welcome!

    Greetings!

FPS drops in Plugy Diablo 2...I just want to play this amazing game!!!

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 04:43 PM PDT

I know there are tons of posts like this, trust me, I've read most of them...

I'm experiencing some FPS drops in Diablo 2 and it's putting a damper on the fun big time. The game runs fine at 25 fps, then suddenly it drops to 18 or 19 fps and there's a large noticeable stutter. This happens regardless of number of enemies on screen, shadows set to low/high, etc.

I'm currently playing on a windows 10 laptop. CPU is an i3-4030U @ 1.90 GHz. It has 6 GB of RAM.

I've browsed online, including posts on reddit, and tried several "fixes" but nothing seems to work.

I've tried all the usual stuff; set Diablo 2 and game.exe to run in compatibility mode: Windows XP (Service Pack 3), run as admin, etc. I'm playing on Plugy with D2SE and I'm using Sven's Glide Wrapper to play with glide instead of D3D. I'm playing in windowed mode, but I've tried full screen also and the fps drops happen in both instances. I've checked my task manager and closed any and all apps that could potentially be causing issues. I've tried running the game with Ddraw in 2D and it's barely even playable; it runs like garbage. Some people said in a forum that running the game in 2D fixes everything...It literally made it run worse for me.

Is there some super secret fix to be able to play this game smoothly and actually enjoy it? I'm at a loss and would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Do you care what your character looks like in Diablo 4?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 07:09 PM PDT

This might be an odd question, but I just suddenly had this very weird thought. Let's say we keep everything the same, but your character looks like a huge volleyball with the name of the class written on it. For example, instead of a character that looks like a Barbarian, you get instead a volleyball that looks like Wilson from Cast Away with the word "barbarian" written on it. Everything else in the game stays exactly the same as before. Would you still play this game like you normally would as if nothing has changed?

If you care what your character looks like, vote yes. If it doesn't bother you, vote no.

Anyone know of a mod for Diablo 1 that fixes character animations?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 06:53 PM PDT

Specifically I'm looking for something that fixes the Rogue's animations when walking with a sword in medium or heavy armor. It really irritates me how that straight blade she holds while standing or attacking bugs out and becomes the scimitar she has when in light armor while moving.

I'd be super grateful to anyone who can point me toward a fix for this.

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 02:07 PM PDT

How do you get the Uber bosses to drop the good ring ingredients (withering spine, devils fang, vengeful eye) I've beaten these bastards at torment ten and still can't get them to drop. Any tricks?

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 05:36 PM PDT

    Hello,

I notice that online playing for Diablo 3 on Switch is pretty slow. I figured I would come here and ask if anyone wants to add me that plays consistently?

Would be awesome to have is Skill tiers in D4

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 03:34 PM PDT

Played Diablo2 since my childhood and loved the skill system

But when I played torchlight 2 and Diablo2 mods, I discovered that this system can be even more fun

Skill specing in Diablo 4 at least needs to have tiers that improved or modifies the skill

    the evils family

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 01:24 AM PDT

how come only the three prime evils are considered brothers aren't all the evils technically siblings since they all were heads of Tathamet. Yet the lesser and prime evils seem so disconnected from each other how come Andariel and Duriel are considered siblings the other leaders aren't?

Is there a "microhead effect" on Blizzard/Diablo/WoW characters?

    Posted: 13 Oct 2020 11:56 PM PDT

Is there a "microhead effect" on Blizzard/Diablo/WoW characters?

    It seems to me that:

    • the size of the head and the size of the body for lots of Blizzard characters are
      • very unrealistic
      • anatomically incorrect
    • the bodyparts (arm, legs etc.) are much larger and robust then they should be
    • the distortion from the perspective view can't explain the size
      • especially when the knee is twice as big as the head
    • it's like the characters were designed this way just to look cooler

    Am I wrong about this?

Or it's true and these characters are deliberately designed this way?

Idea for Diablo 4: character facial feature customization

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 07:52 AM PDT

Based on what we have seen from the gameplay footage, here will be many cutscenes featuring up close view of our characters. Assuming those aren rendered in real time, I think this suggests that we will have a lot of chances to see our characters' faces closely. Wouldn't it be nice if Diablo 4 has some kind of face customization menu? It doesn't have to be anything fancy - let us choose different hair style, different eyes, nose, mouth, 4-5 basic face shapes... etc.
