Details on last Diablo IV build: version 0.0.1.24218 Posted: 14 Aug 2020 02:56 PM PDT Hi there! I run the spanish fansite DiabloNext and we are tracking all versions of Diablo IV that are published in the encrypted servers at Blizzard. These vendor versions are usually deployed for third-party companies to test the game (e.g. NVIDIA for graphics cards). After 2 months we got a new version 0.0.1.24218 and I found a few interesting details. Although vendor versions can't really be downloaded, we have access to the configuration file and we can see a few things... Language compatibility has been addedIf you look at the configuration file, there is a whole new list of compatible languages for D4. This list included only enUS before. This is usually low-priority in the development cycle so I wonder if Blizzard is starting with translation and localization for D4 or maybe trying the new builds in Windows systems in different languages. Executable is now Fenris_ra.exeBefore, the executable was just game.exe (like D2!) but this is the first time we see it as Fenris_ra.exe Fenris is the codename for D4 but... what is the ra part? The a is probably alpha but, any idea what the r may stand for? We are speculating with release or restricted... Builds are linear with timeSo I made a linear regression for the builds vs the dates and they really follow a straight line. More Blizzard North Diablo 3 Artworks Posted: 14 Aug 2020 08:50 AM PDT Not too long ago, in-game artwork from Blizzard North artist Oscar Cuesta was released, showing off early unpolished builds of levels including Heaven, "Winterstone" (what probably became Bastion's Keep) and a Tristram dungeon. Recently, I've stumbled upon more work by another ex-Blizzard North artist–Tim Tao–who also did 3D artwork as well as concept art for the original build of Diablo 3 (circa 2004-2005). Entrenched battlefield/invasion concept art: 3D art, including renders of the above trenches concept, siege weaponry and more of Heaven (similar to Oscar Cuesta): https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3O4av What's interesting about this art is how it parallels the final version of Diablo 3, with demonic forces invading Bastion's keep and Heaven; but in this version we see that the first siege takes place in a differently envisioned location–though still a giant fortress–and Heaven looked more gothic-like. Posted: 14 Aug 2020 11:38 AM PDT I'm playing through D2 right now online and every time I log back in and travel from Lut Gholein back to the Rogue Encampment it randomizes everything again. I think the map randomization is pretty cool but I didn't want it to continue randomizing places I've already been. Is this something present in the singleplayer mode? It's a minor complaint but I'm wondering if it's a product of playing online or not. [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 14 Aug 2020 04:51 AM PDT Hi guys, Last night on stream I half assed tried a Diablo rogue Ironman run. It ended way too soon but I was already tiered from streaming beat saber and other games that day. Today I want to try it again and really go all in. So if anybody would like to join this possible train wreck I would be happy to have you guys along for the ride. My idea is to start at 18:00 CEST and go for as long as the run takes or my body can handle. I'm thinking of even doing tequila shots between floors or on deaths to spice it up a bit and to dull the pain. Anyways if you want to check it out here is my stream.
