| Consequences of Diablo 3 in Diablo 4 predictions Posted: 09 Jun 2021 09:02 PM PDT It's been confirmed that 4 is set shortly after Reaper of Souls. I think the first thing we'll have to see, is that the human population has been cut in half from Malthael's attack. Many areas have been abandoned and reclaimed by nature, making business booming for Druids, and hopefully establishing why they are in this game. Some humans are turning to crime to fight over vacant positions of power, others are doing legal reforms and changes, Sanctuary has changed overnight in both good and bad ways. But the biggest question of all is, what is the status of the Nephalem? Well, given what has happened to past Diablo heroes, I fear that Tyrael's fears will be confirmed. The Naphalem will go bad from the power of Death, and distrust of the Angels, even those who fought alongside him or her despite varying opinions of humanity. Or perhaps the Naphalem is MIA, and one of the story goals is to find and rescue him or her. Whether you arrive in time or too late to save him or her depends on what works better for the story. As for Tyrael, it's the same with the Naphalem, but I have doubt that he will make it through 4, if he's still alive. I also think that if he does die, it should break Imperius's pride, and the grouchy Archangel of Valor is utterly heartbroken. Supplemental materials do suggest that for all his faults, Imperius still has a soft spot for his fellow angels, even if they don't agree with him, or even get into conflict with him. Hence why he couldn't kill Malthael, and why he refused to kill Tyrael when he had the chance, when he returned to the High Heavens. [link] [comments] | ||
