Posted: 20 Jun 2021 08:50 AM PDT Per the title, and cross-referencing another post I made about merc pathfinding/AI, im running a bowazon through late nightmare right now and the combination of needing to rely on ai-controlled tanks, a glass cannon type build, and just abhorrent lag has made the late game exceedingly difficult. Id be fine if it was a skill gap or a loot thing where I needed to improve, but I cant even count the amount of times Ive died to melee attacks that dont happen on-screen or trying to deal with fast enemies. Or thinking I have good position only to find that my merc/valk actually werent where they were showing on screen. Not sure if this a client-side thing, server-side, or what, but this isnt the kind of "challenge" i think people enjoy working around. US-East btw. Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 20 Jun 2021 05:19 PM PDT I just finished diablo 1 normal level with a rogue. But I am bored to continue with the same character into nightmare and hell. I play with devolution mod, which is the base game with some QoL added. Now I started a barbarian character and I guess it will be hard to be pure meele without magic. Should I continue or try play some other mods? Last year I played The Hell mod, but also at first difficulty, as far as I remember. Now I see there is The Hell 2 mod. Should I try it? I don't have so much free time to spend on games, so I can't grind and try beat hell difficulties. Only one time I best hell and it was diablo 2, but I had some free days back then.. I heard that only ladder character can get one and was majorly spooked considering it is essential for my build. If it is possible, is there a quick setting I can just change in plugY? Posted: 20 Jun 2021 08:56 AM PDT I am playing Diablo 2 LoD for the first time ever, currently on Lvl 48, Act 2, Nightmare. Personally, i absolutely hate the re-spawning spot in Lut Gholein. It lands you right next to Waheed, who offers nothing of note. If i want to visit Deckard, Fara, Lysander, Drognan etc. - i need to go all the way to the center of the town. Which might not be a problem at first, but when you die often, or if you exit the game and then re-enter it to respawn the enemies in a particular area so you can grind them, it becomes tedious. Do you agree it would be nice if they moved the re-spawning spot of Lut Gholein to the center of the town? So that you can save yourself a couple of seconds? Also, i would make it so that the respawning point is right next to the portal opening spot. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 20 Jun 2021 06:15 AM PDT I want to play something other than sorc (as i have always played them, and never really played other classes) but as a starter character, how much less loot per hour will i realistically get as a paladin for example? Or is it just advisable to blanket play a sorc as first character to farm enough for an enigma and then start creating some other farming characters? I think D2 Resureccted will feel alot fresher playing a class ive never played before, but dont want to cripple/gimp myself too hard and struggle as a result Thanks [link] [comments] | ||

And that makes sense, because from my perspective Diablo III is superior to any other game i know of the same genre, and superior by far. My perspective would probably be the same as your's if i was an og Diablo player due to the fact that I'm also a bit conservative about the things i like and seeing them change drastically. In conclusion, i believe that no one who doesn't have that OG Diablo player filter can say Diablo III is a bad game IMO, cause it definitely isn't. Ive tried it out while leveling my WD and I just cant feel it doing much compared to Haunt/Acid Cloud. Also I was curious why one of the passives wasnt the one that involved getting 100 mana back when casting spirit abilities, I figured that one would be grear for Jade Harvester due to Haunt, Soul Harvest, Spirit Walk and Horrify [link] [comments] | ||

Thread on /r/diablo had maybe 10 upvotes. Let's be honest, people on this subreddit DON'T even the play D2 on battlenet anymore. It's either mods like Project Diablo, Diablo 3 or not playing D2 at all. As one of 20k people that still play Diablo 2 on BN: please stop trying to ruin the game for us. The game wasn't "always changing", last balance patch was in 2010, last content patch was in 2003. That's decades ago. Most people that still play the game on BN know and love this version of the game. They don't want balance changes. They wanna play that Hammerdin or Sorc exactly how it is now, not seeing it nerfed to the ground and poision dagger buffed or something ridiculous like ppl on this forums suggest. That would kill the game. People want to grind for HRs and items not have it drop like candy like in D3. People don't want ridiculous power creep like: buff mercaneries, buff items, add free respecs etc. Diablo 2 is a classic game. Let us play the classic game. Want "modern" games? Go play Diablo 3, PoE, project diablo or whatever else, there is plenty. Why trying to destroy the game for all of us on battlenet too? No. Just mod the fuck out of D2R and play your poison dagger build with fully equipped immoral King barbarian mercanery doing Rifts where high runes drop every 15 mins and stop trying to ruing A Classic Game that's already perfect for us purists.
