    D2R: Goodbye bugged items!

    Posted: 26 May 2021 05:21 AM PDT

My favorite thing about D2R is how all inventories will start clean, eliminating all bugged/duped/hacked items. No more hybrid runewords, no more bugged 08 uniques, no more whites! Looking forward to a leveled playing field!

    D2: Difficulty without runewords?

    Posted: 26 May 2021 08:10 PM PDT

    Hey y'all,

I haven't played D2 since way back in the day when LOD was first released and even then, I was just a young whippersnapper.

How hard is it to finish hell without the use of runewords? It may be an unpopular opinion but I'm not really a fan of that feature. I'll probably be playing 100% of the time with my brother all the way through hell. Does that make it easier?

    Thanks!

    Location of the Necropolis

    Posted: 26 May 2021 09:36 AM PDT

Is this something that any of the extended lore (e.g. novels, although I know that continuity may be retconned) that gets more specific about where the Necropolis is located?

Wiki suggests "the eastern jungles of Kehjistan" although I'm not sure if that's west of the mountains (east/southeast of Caldeum) or east of the mountains in the swamplands.

I remember some material related to D2 mentioning swamps. But entering the city through the trunk of a giant hollow tree is more well-document and... an underground city isn't really too compatible with swamps.

A Question I have to ask.

    Posted: 26 May 2021 10:35 AM PDT

How did we reach Diablo 1 before 2018, when Devilution was made? I have been told that most of the time, Diablo 1 didn't work properly on Windows 10 machines. The GOG version included. The PS1 port is a nightmare, The other ports are bad like no other. So, my question is, how would you reach Diablo 1 in 2013 or 2012? Was the game completely left to rot in the deep darkness of the internet by blizzard? This sounds unethical.

Is there any game quite similar to Diablo 1 2021?

I wish I could play something new that *resembles* this master piece. Specially multiplayer

Diablo III Distances in relation to our characters.

Diablo III Distances in relation to our characters.

I was going through some old files of mine, and came across this old gem. I haven't seen it in ages, and am not even sure where I originally got it. So I was wondering, just exactly how accurate is it?

If they can cross-platform D2R on the Switch they can cross platform it on mobile

    Posted: 26 May 2021 03:15 PM PDT

Most likely people have a main Medium to play the game, cross platform is just a big fluff that feels useless

Secondary medium is for when you don't have access to your main one, your pc is most likely in the same house as your PlayStation lol

But if they intend to have this useless to lure people with it why not use this effort to put it on the real Secondary medium it would make a difference, Mobile

I've been a hardcore D2 Pc gamer for 20years but I can admit that I would be happy to be able to play when I'm away from home and my Pc and that is most easily done through phone

Adapt Switch and Diablo immortal interface and create a mobile version of Diablo2 resurrected, people on android will do it anyway lol

    D2R modding?

    Posted: 26 May 2021 09:00 AM PDT

Will it be a thing? Would really like some fixes for the deviations the studio has made from the original game and seemingly have no interest of backing on. Like sorc underboob, faces in general, assassin ethnicity switch and so on which would all just be models or texture fixes. Anyone poked around with the files or have heard some official statement on it?

    [D4] What if...

    Posted: 26 May 2021 06:03 AM PDT

...the town get rid of vendors/merchants and keep only crafters and questers?

In terms of immersion they shouldn't exist. If we were in a big city, i could buy it (eh) but i seriously cannot imagine someone in a small village under siege of monsers, who wants to trade with the extremely dangerous guy, who is also his only chances to survive, and use him only to sell scraps. It make far more sense have a blacksmith recycle our stuff.

In term of gameplay they are useless. We don't buy anything from them. Also we shouldn't. The gameplay focus is loot. If we find something actually usefull from the vendor, something doesn't work. Again they exist only for us to sell items. A good recycle mechanic would be better.

Especially if that could work everywhere. Not just in town.

    Edit: grammar
