Posted: 04 Nov 2020 12:38 PM PST Given that nobody talks about it, I suppose that's just me alone, but wanted to double check it (so please don't be too harsh if you don't think it's that way, I'm assumming that I could be very likely wrong, but curiosity is killing me XD ). Look at the ground... Or at the back of the mob that's in the center-left, the one who's oriented looking at the top and surrounded by 2 bats: Now, look at the ground, bottom center part: This goblin arms and legs, especially in the figure at the right side: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Oy4qBk I have the feeling that generally, and especially in indoor environments, character/mob skin and grounds, they have what most common game engines call "metallic" factor too high, or "roughness" to low, or BSDF's shader "specular" too high, or the light source for indoor environments misconfigured (can't remember the name of the parameter)... Not sure which of those parameters, but it's something that I also see at PoE that makes me feel a bit like they're plastic figurines instead of realistic humanoids. I mean, nowhere trying to be ballistic, to me that's the only thing that keeps vistuals from looking 100% perfect. ... So I'm alone, right? [link] [comments] | ||
