Diablo Finally got the Lilith Statue. This thing is huge and heavy. It's more detailed than I thought even. Very impressed. Sorry for the quick phone pic.

2 elements are better than 1! Dual Element Vyr Chantodo switches between fire and lightning for more damage. This is the best Wizard solo pushing build, explained in less than 8 mins.

Any non seasonal clans looking to recruit?

Hello! I'm around paragon 1k, and I am able to solo gr 90s max. If any active clans that aren't just seasonal players then I'd love to join as I can never find any.

    PVP Flag issue (diablo 1)

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 05:44 PM PDT

I purchased the original diablo from GOG so I can play the game with my child. For some reason even though the PVP flag is turned off we can damage and kill each other. Needless to say, it doesn't make playing much fun when we're killing each other by accident. Anyone know a way to fix this bug so we can't attack each other? We're using the diablo with LAN and high-resolution support. Not hellfire.

    Survivor achievement

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 12:57 PM PDT

I'm trying to knock out this achievements on console but it seems hit-and-miss on whether it registers. If I understand it correctly, to get credit I must kill a mob while low health -- and I take "low" to mean "screen flashing red" -- and then heal back up to non-flashing, and repeat.

    Survivor

Survive combat with low health 250 times.

Is there a more efficient and/or reliable way to get this done? It takes forever to get a mob to hit me till the screen flashes red even after taking all Life Regen out.

D2 style skill selecting is superior to D3 style skill hotkeys

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 02:38 PM PDT

Firing skills off from the mouse ala Diablo 2 as opposed to firing skills off from the hotkey ala Diablo 3 feels more natural and is more precise and accurate. Diablo 2's system isn't antiquated; on the contrary D2's style skill selection is commonly used in nearly all FPS games both old and new alike. Try telling top tier competitive FPS players that selecting a weapon with a key first and then firing it with their mouse after is somehow antiquated and that they should be really firing their weapons directly from the same weapon selection key. You'd get laughed at. Firing from hotkey works better for MMORPG's and basically games where a player can tab target or minimally use mouse aim. D2 requires fast and precise mouse inputs, precisely why decoupling the skill selection from skill firing makes sense, just like in an FPS game. D2 could have improved in this regard I supposed by having flashy models and animations drawn when switching betwen skills, similar to what a player sees when switching weapons in an FPS game. Possibly increase the speed in which a player can cycle between skills, maybe even make it an affix like weapon switch speed in FPS games. Tangentially speaking skill selection is a lesser yet not to be overlooked reason why I did not take well to D3 skills and likely will not to D4 either. This topic has already been discussed many times. Unfortunately the precise point being made is rarely elucidated. Discuss.
