Diablo 3 Season 20 Leveling and Early 70 Cheat Sheet

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 01:34 AM PST

Here is a little cheat sheet for leveling and completing the first four chapters of the season journey for season 20. Maybe some of you find it useful!

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EkIR_uETNGEQQRPuhxZVpWWUcKGr_x45NhWPHEGgIjw/edit?usp=sharing

EDIT: This is just a cheat sheet. In order to understand the reason behind some of the steps, you can watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJuco-mV_xs, which is the source for most of the leveling part of the cheat sheet.

D3 Quick Season Start Tracker - DiabloSeasons

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 05:48 PM PST

Recently created a D3 resource website for new/casual players to help with a quick season 20 start: https://diabloseasons.com

The site is a work in progress -- a couple of friends and I are tweaking and updating it little by little. Please let me know what you think and feel free to suggest anything to add/change.

Hoping to build this out with more content for D3 players.

    Thanks!~

    Will the Nephalem be...

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 09:46 AM PST

    Possessed in D4?

There are 7 Nephalem, and 7 Evils, I think this works out perfectly.
Now that the evils are free, they are without mortal bodies, and they have some perfect, powerful hosts right here, plus it's kinda tradition that the heroes fall from grace.

So... how is Frenzy Barb supposed to be weak?

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 08:34 PM PST

I am speed running T16/GR75 at Paragon 1600, with minimal, glaringly unoptimized gear pieces, at about the same speed or faster than my Justice TR Monk who is decked out in +500 Dex Caldressan'd kit - and I am not even running Ancients or Wrath.

Where and when do the cracks start to show?

The one thing Diablo IV needs more than ANYTHING

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 04:12 PM PST

Is the return of voice actor Paul Eiding. He was the narrator of Diablo I & II as well as many other characters. His voice is so iconic for the Diablo series and it was ludicrous that they didn't include him in the same capacity in Diablo III. Please bring our boy home.

Is D3 still like the older games?

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 04:00 PM PST

    Hello,

I played Diablo 1 back in the day and really liked it's gloomy and dark atmosphere with its depressing mood, music and all that. I have recently got a bit back into gaming after a decades long hiatus and figured Diablo 3 might be a nice game to play but looking at screenshots and artwork (even the top banner in this reddit) it looks more like a kids game and almost cartoonish.

Is that really what's become of Diablo or have I just got the wrong impression?

What if with the open world they take a different approach regarding loot?

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 05:02 AM PST

Bear with me in this crazy thought.

I don't know if any of you guys played Sacred 3, but in that game you don't find loot, except from gold. Both your weapon and armor is upgradable with money, and there's even some branching options in order to allow some form of customization, so your equipment works like a skill tree. Of course, there was a lot of uproar, and the developer said, not in those specific words, that often in Arpgs people chase the meta gear and the other items only serve a purpose during the hunt.

Based on that, which hold some form of truth, what if D4 goes a Munster Hunter road, and rely only on crafting in order to obtain gear.

No more gold and equipment drops, only raw materials, and varying quality within the materials.

You'll craft a piece of equipment of a certain family, and you could make a whole set of said family, the equipment would have "infinite" potential for growth, since you could still keep upgrading said equipment using the material drops from that family, and also some form of customization derived from the material used, let's say I can use this cannibal fang in order to increase attack, but I can also use this cannibal leather to increase defense, but not both, so I have to choose.

Due to the open world nature, you could tie elemental resistance to the "ecology" of said family, while fighting on a tundra environment you would get equipment with ice resistance and so on.

    What do you folks think?

Appreciation for the Baal run bots

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 03:20 AM PST

Yesterday I started my first ladder character. I'm already close to lvl 50 thanks to the bots that run Baal over and over. If it's just me that joins I have free reign over all the drops and I've gotten some pretty sweet loot. Thanks bots!

Edit: apparently bots are very bad lol, hadn't even thought of the economy trashing part. I hereby retract my appreciation
