I used to play Diablo 2 a bunch with my grandfather when I was a kid. He passed away recently, and I figured I'd get a tattoo of our favourite game in memorial.

After someone was able to move the camera in Diablo 3, has anyone been able to make a straight top-down view to use in battle maps for RPGs?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 11:10 AM PST

Here is the video from monstrousD3 who figured out how to move the camera. Is there a way then to move it directly above and point straight down? If there then is a way to take hi-res screen caps of D3,, it would create some tremendously amazing battle maps for RPGs.

Looked over immersion detail regarding inventory: Item Color Backgrounds

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 09:17 AM PST

After playing some D3 couch coop with a friend and watching some reaction videos of the latest quarterly update, I figured out what has kept me from liking the item art. (the latest color dulling was good too).

    The blue/yellow/red backgrounds!

There was a video discussion shortly after the D4 announcement that took clips of streamers and did some analysis about how much time players spend evaluating new items. The moral of the story was if the player say green up arrows, they equipped the item without really looking at all of its stats. If it were red down arrows, see ya later. I think this is in a similar vein of having the colored backgrounds on items. You don't even need to look at the item's portrait, art, or details, you just see red and think legendary, great. It lets (makes) you scan over so many items without even giving them a shot. Here's the point: it ruins the item finding immersion, instead of seeing if this new loot is good or bad for you within the game, you are just deciphering a simple color code at light speed, detracting from the game.

I think this should be an option to have on or off. I don't mean to take away the item's title character color, you need to know it's rarity somehow, and that's fine. I just feel like a coin sorter by passing over so many items simply by the color of it's portrait box.

I do some math, if we have patches like 2.6.8, 2,6.9 until 3.0.0 its take 32 seasons and take 96 months so its 8 years, means year 2028 for 3.0

The monk is the most badass class ever and i will explain why:

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:06 PM PST

The dude straight up PUNCHES demons with his BARE HANDS.. Here is the chad monk compared to all the other classes:

Barbarian? Don't make me laugh, big man swing around big object and smash. The monk? One touch from his PALM and demons EXPLODE.

Witch Doctor? Sure he can summon midget zombies and poison people, but he can't FREEZE ENEMIES SOLID WITH HIS PUNCHES.

Crusader? Giant shield as a weapon and wears heavy armor, monk? Fists and wears practically nothing .

Demon Hunter? Uses a crossbow, ranged attacks and traps to fight demons. Monk? Rushes into battle swinging a staff and then punches the demons into mulch while zooming around in six directions

Wizard? Casts spells and uses ranged attacks. Monk? LITERALLY teleports into battle and begins taking out demons 1-1 with punches and kicks while chanting a mantra.

Necromancer? Uses a bone army and summons skeletons to fight for him. Monk? Fires 1000 fists into a demon in 10 seconds, and they explode.

The monk literally walks into battle with NO ARMOR, and a pair of knuckle dusters. And can literally take out an army all by himself.

Im pretty sure even Diablo himself has nightmares and can't sleep at night knowing Chad monk is out there waiting for him.

But don't take it from me, Cain himself said it.

Diablo 2 veteran playing Diablo 3 for first time

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:57 AM PST

    Hey guys,

Diablo 1 and 2 were my first games with WC3. I loved when i come back from school and farm in diablo 2 for hours. That was my favourite thing from my childhood. When Diablo 3 released i didnt played it since i couldnt affort to buy it at the time : [ ... Few months ago i bought it played for few minutes and then i stopped since i wanted to get big into League.

So yesterday i got bored and decided to play it and explore a little bit. Graphics were amazing. The maps were big and i spend so much time exploring them ( act 1 ) ... mostly getting lost haha. BUT compared to Diablo 2.... ehhh in diablo 2 you get healing potions, mana potions, scrolls etc from corpses , chest etc... i spend so much time walking around trying to find healing potion then i realised its only 1 healing potion lol .... theres no scrolls too , i mean its a good thing but at the same time thats what made diablo 2 more interactive.

I played Demon Hunter since i really like playing adc in league , I found out that kiting in this game is easy. Fought with monsters , champions and everything ... honestly i had so much fun for playing it , maybe its just me? or maybe its because im new to the game xD who knows , i'm still level 21 and in act 2 , i hope in the next few days i can finish act 2 and make it to act 3. Because act 2 is huge and i keep getting lost O.O!

Anyway i made a little video about my few hours of gameplay and added some comentary , i dont know why the cursor is that big on this footage , i filmed some in act 2 and its not that big, i iwll make one more video in act 2 ^^ pst , i didnt made this video for likes , i just wanted to share the experience with you guys ! heres link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9pkwYjTnu0

If you have any suggestions please leave a comment here or below the video :) i will read the all <3

Rookie question: Do you need to do the challenge rift with your level 1 new seasonal Char?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 06:24 AM PST

Or can you just do it with one of your non seasonal, leveled up chars and then claim the reward on your seasonal? Thanks!

    Season end before new start

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:10 AM PST

Why does the season end before the new one begins?

I had just started playing a hc witch doctor and ive been really enjoying it (first time playing hc) But i logged on today after coming back from out of town to see that season 19 has ended before season 20 has begun. Which leaves me having to complete the entire story just to get back to doing some rifts. Why is it like this? Not raging or angered by it really just wondering why its setup like this because i have no want to complete the entire story just to get back to where i was. I would 100% make a new char if season 20 was out, but now im just sort of stuck having to do something i dont want to do to just to get back to where i was before leaving out of town (which is also time consuming, the story i mean)
