D4 Feedback: Give us more Class specific activities to do Posted: 24 Feb 2020 12:13 PM PST tl;dr With a non-linear large open world, D4 will need more ideas for new activities/content for us to do. Diablo classes have very distinct and iconic identities that fans love (just look at the Druid hype for D4). The devs should explore unique Class specific content, such as questlines, early game and endgame goals/challenges, or other implementations into the various progression/reward systems, that could delve deeper into what it truly means to be a Barbarian, Druid and Sorceress. Does anyone have any unique/fun ideas on what ways this could be achieved in an ARPG? Many ARPGs, like Path of Exile and Wolcen, allow you to use any ability in the game no matter what "class" you choose. While this allows for self-expression, it often lacks the strength of a unified Class identity. Diablo on the other hand separates itself from these ARPGs with its beloved classes that are each uniquely different at capturing a fantasy. Each one is rooted so deeply in the franchise and lore that fans are die-hard devotees for each class for many different reasons. And not always just because of their aesthetic, gameplay, class items and abilities. Some people even love obsolete builds because it captures a fantasy they love, purely because they love what it means to be a Werebear. But what does it really mean to be a guy who turns into a bear that walks on two feet? In previous Diablo games, a linear campaign couldn't expand much on why and who these classes are since the story arch is shared by all classes. At best, we got some dialogue and lore books, but D4 can do better. Instead of having to lookup wiki pages, a more interactive story telling through Class specific questlines could do this, but maybe there's even better ideas worth sharing that have clever implementation that we haven't seen in a Diablo game before. What do you think they could do? Could you care less about activities rooted in your classes background? Is there ideas that could support replay-ability better than one specific side questline? Friday is most likely the day we'll get the Diablo 4 update Posted: 24 Feb 2020 01:16 PM PST It's the last working day of February, and Blizz tend to release things on Friday, like seasons for D3. They said they're grinding and getting the big update post ready, so I think they'll leave as late as they possibly can. [link] [comments]
Should I have changed the difficulty during my play through? Posted: 24 Feb 2020 07:51 PM PST I just finished the 4th Act for the first time with a crusader and after killing diablo I am only at level 44. Should I have changed the difficulty during my play through to get to level 60? [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Feb 2020 10:45 AM PST Hey guys, I'm currently outside of America on a brand new laptop, and I was thrilled to see I could download D2 from Blizzards website. Unfortunately the installer doesn't offer me the ability to input my CD key... It asks me to Purchase D2 and even the link itself doesn't actually go anywhere. My CD is all the way back in America, so installing it that way wasn't an option. Does anyone know of a workaround to make digital D2 work? My Blizzard account also doesn't recognize that I own D2, Strange IMO since I've played on BN servers just a year or 2 ago. Anyone go through something similar and get the game running? Not gonna purchase again and give Blizz more money after what they did to BlitzChung [link] [comments]

DIABLO IV - GAME MODE IDEA FOR PVP Posted: 24 Feb 2020 09:39 AM PST Hi Something that I have thought about for the PVP aspect of D4 is a mix of The Moba genre and the ARPG genre to one. So you have a game mode that is like the League of Legends or DOTA. This could work as it does in the DOTA or League of Legends, but in this case, you use your Character instead of picking a champion. The characters start with zero items and you also start with all the skills (for just this game mode) but when you level up you can level up your preferred skills by putting a point into that skill. The skills depend on what class you are playing with. To get gear should be the same as it is to get items in League of Legends, that is by earning gold from killing minions, jungle minions or other players in the opposite team. You can also introduce a ranking system to this type of game mode. [link] [comments] |
