D2: After Teeth and Bone Spear, What Comes Next?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 09:33 AM PDT

Problem with a speed runner's beginner guide is that it's by a speed runner who has forgotten what it means to be a beginner.

Once Bone Spear is no longer amazing in early Hell difficulty, what abilities take its place? Bone Prison remains fantastic, minus ghosts and gloams. But Bone Spear doesn't exactly make enemies tremble after Act 2. Corpse Explosion is great, but you need to create a few dead bodies to get the benefit.

Where do I put points after maxing Spear, Prison, Wall, and Armor?

Thanks, and have a great day!

    Class/build help

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 04:07 PM PDT

Hey i'm new to Diablo 3 and i'm unsure what class to play, I wanna go fast and nuke rooms. I don't really care too much about how good the class is but I don't wanna play a class/build that's very low tier. Anyone got any recommendations?

The lack of a true Fireball rune on Arcane Orb feels off

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 05:38 AM PDT

In D3 classic the Wizard was primarily a Pen & Paper inspired Arcane Caster, but that was changed with RoS, where many skills, including Arcane Orb were changed from only having Arcane Runes, to also having Fire, Lightning and Frost Runes.

However, there still is no true Fireball for the Wizard, and that really feels off.

Yes, there is the Scorch rune on Arcane Orb, but that is not a Fireball (aka a missile that explodes on contact with an enemy or a wall), but rather a giant black boulder that pierces through enemies (even when it makes contact with them) and leaves behind a trail of scorched earth.

Why should probably THE MOST ICONIC fantasy spell of all time be missing on the Spell Caster Class of D3?

The visual assents for making a true Fireball are already in the game, like the Fireball from the Rift Guardian Agnidox, or the Act 1 Keywarden's Fireball, Adria's Fireball, the Iron Wolves Fireball (from the Act 2 Bounty 'Blood and Iron') and also the Fire Explosion from Arcane Orb's Scorch rune, which could be used for this.

Whether the Fireball deals increased damaged compared to the unruned version of Arcane Orb, or if the explosion has a larger AoE than the unruned Arcane Orb or both does not really matter, but no Fireball on the Spell Caster Class of D3 feels not right, at least to me and I hope that this can get fixed in a later patch, especially with D2 Resurrected around the corner.

    Resurrected Servers

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 08:33 PM PDT

Is there any way to know if battlenet will be providing servers for Australia. Unfortunately it's not worth joining multiplayer BNet if the only options will be US and Asia for us down south like it was for the original. TIA

Who is your favorite of the "Great Evils"

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 08:40 AM PDT

I've recently have been getting back into this game, and I've thinking about how cool the 7 evils are. I have 2 in mind that I've always really enjoyed since I was a kid

    1. Mephisto. As a kid, his design was always my favorite. The voice, the lore. I don't know, I just loved the dude as a kid
    2. Belail. His design is a big part of why I like him, but him being the lord of lies has always intrigued me. From what I understand, Belail isn't a push over, but he is definitely on the weaker end when it comes to raw power. However, I think the way he is able to manipulate his way to power has always intrigued me. He's just a cool character imo.

Leoric's Castle 4v4 Diablo 2 PvP Mod New Season

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 01:09 AM PDT

Leoric's Castle is starting a new season of this Tuesday. If you are wondering what the heck this is....

Think Gauntlet Legends meets the Blood Moor.

Leoric's Castle is a softcore 4v4 team PvP game. You compete against another team and try to be the first to kill King Leoric. You start with a new character each game, and try to get as powerful as you can in order to fight off the enemy players and ultimately slay King Leoric. The mod supports a higher resolution than 800x600, so its not so grainy. It's a quick 5 minutes download and install as well.

With Resurrected coming at the end of the year, Diablo II has seen a huge resurgence of interest and players. While our team looks forward to the player killing havoc of the Blood Moor in Resurrected, we would like to invite you to experience a new chapter in Diablo 2 PvP.

Slay monsters. Gain Experience. Defeat Bosses. Collect Loot. Purchase upgrades. PK the enemy team.

Players will be able to use the game-finder discord channel to join a queue and get matched against other teams.

Feel free to hang out in the discord and test out the Castle while more players find their way here. It could a bit for enough players to fill the Castle so that 4v4 matches are happening regularly, but we are hopeful!

Leoric's Castle is available for download at leoricscastle.com

We doing walkthroughs of the Castle all wee..

If you have any questions please stop by the discord . See you soon!

    Progression principle

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 11:02 PM PDT

So which character progression do you prefer?

On one hand you have d2 where main thing is leveling + item farming (without which you cannot progress through acts). Majority of the game you spend looking for items without which you cannot even finish hell diff.

On another you have d3 where leveling and campaign is a formality which you can complete in a few hours then spend few hours getting basic non ancient/primal gear that allows build to function properly. And after that "real" game begins by spamming GRs and high nephalems to get primals and ancients with right stats on them and obv push for as high a GR as you can.

I kinda like that game forces you to experience more than spamming grs in d2 but its kinda demoralizing when must have items have such a low drop rate and you go days and days looking at shitty rares. Atleast in d3 gr and nephalem map changes. Doing meph andariel and pindle by clicking blizzard and watching tv shows on another monitor is kinda.. meh

Any idea how might i "spice" things up so i break this boredom?

Diablo 2 Resurrected Paladin Skills & Act

    Question about patch notes

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 01:40 AM PDT

I have read that they "Resolved an exploit where players could be killed in town" (TPPK)

There was no deeper explanation than that. Is this the exploit with the Act 1 mercenary that can kill players as they spawn into the Rogue Encampment, if the Blood Moor exit was south of the stash, or is that still a thing?

I haven't entered a stranger's game in act 1 for years avoiding this dirty trick.
