    Diablo gift ideas?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 07:57 PM PST

Im not sure if a post like this is allowed, but I'm not sure where to turn. A little context:

My dad and I live in different states. We haven't gotten to see each other all year bc of the pandemic, and it's really sucked. We don't have the closest relationship, but he's still my dad and he's always trying to support me in any way he can from 800 miles away. He's a caring guy but he struggles with depression and can a little closed off. Basically, I want to give him a great gift for Christmas so I can show my dad I appreciate everything he does; but I'm not sure where to start. I call him 1-2 times every week, and we talk for around an hour, but every time I ask him for gift ideas he blows me off or suggest an "Amazon gift card". However, our conversations usually drift to videos games at some point, and I've noticed every time he brings up the game Diablo. It seems like he plays it a lot, and I think he's being playing it as a way to cope with quarantine, stress from work, etc. I say this because I like to do the same thing with video games, and you know, like father like daughter. So long story short, i know absolutely nothing about the game, and I didn't know if the people of this sub could point me in the right direction of something for somebody who really cares about this game. I'll take any suggestions. I just really want to make my dad smile for Christmas.

EDIT: I forgot to mention he plays on PC.

TLDR: My dad really enjoys Diablo. I want to get him a good Christmas gift.

Bane of powerful vs efficacious for LoD/Arachyr swarm?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 09:22 PM PST

My current witch doctor is a Haunt/swarm/firebats purely for speed bounties, currently in the process of gathering arachyr pieces so i can convert from LoD into a full angry chicken/swarm/firebats build. Other 2 gems are legacy of dreams(obviously) and bane of trapped(hardlocked into every build?)

Which of the mentioned gems in title would be better damage wise for either or both builds? Any other suggestions to take place of legacy gem also appreciated.

    Build Help?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 04:44 PM PST

I just need some help and advice on my current build. I'm struggling with GR 110 and have no idea why.

I'm running a God DH and I have every piece of gear I need. Almost all of them are ancients and my weapon (Dawn) is a primal as well as my boots. Both are primal and I have the rolls I need on all of my gear.

My legendary gems are all level 112. They are Bane of the Stricken, Simplicity Strength, and Taeguk. My cubed items are Valla's Bequest, Depth Diggers, Convention of Elements, and Elusive ring.

    Thanks in advance.

    Is the story mode necessary?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:46 AM PST

So I got to about level 55 before I realized I was in adventure mode. Took down Diablo and everything. Now I realize I was in adventure mode the whole time, but I had more fun in adventure than story mode. I'm almost done with Act I's story, should I continue with the story or just forget it and go back to Adventure bounties? Forgot to mention I play adventure and story mode on Hard difficulty.

For D3 should I finish the campaign on Normal or Expert/Master?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2020 10:18 PM PST

I'm about to finish Act 2 (Crusader lvl. 42 on Expert difficulty. Not really having much trouble as a newcomer), and am wondering if it's more worth my time to finish all acts on a lower difficulty and work more towards endgame afterwards in Adventure mode back on Expert and up.
