Please give us a "Close Rift" option in the game menu or when talking to Orek in town Posted: 10 Feb 2020 02:03 AM PST Having lived with the PTR queue I now more than ever wish we had a close rift option to reset ultra crap GRs when trying to get a half decent map. [link] [comments]
Top 3 paragons in HC are all botters Posted: 10 Feb 2020 01:35 PM PST Guess HC is the same as SC now. It wasn't the case back then. Can Blizzard just filter played time by barb and ban them? It's really simple. Over 1000 hours on barb alone is a botter 100%. 900+ hours is pretty much bot territory too but if they want to play it 'safe' then 1000+ The same can be done for SC. All those 5k+ para people with 1100 hours on barb & 600 hours on other classes are not hard to spot. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 07:55 AM PST Hello fellow denizens of Sanctuary. I wanted to take some time to talk about a subject that isn't often brought up during discussions of past games or wishlists for future ones, but can really make a huge difference in how players experience them. What is it you ask? Sound Design. And just in case it's not clear, I'm referring here to the monster noises, item drop sounds, and other various sound effects present in the games, not the music or voice work. I'll also apologize up front for the wall of text below. If you just want the main takeaway here, feel free to skip to the TLDR at the bottom. That being said, let's dive right in. I'll start by saying that when I think of sounds in Diablo games, I tend to lean on my nostalgia for Diablo II in particular. Not implying that I or III don't have good sound design, but rather that D2's is what is most iconic and memorable to me. It's for that reason that the samples I'll be providing will primarily be from that entry in the series. So, you may be asking yourself, why is sound design a topic that warrants an in-depth discussion? Surely things like the character and environment art, music, or animations warrant more attention, and that's a perfectly valid viewpoint. However, I think sound design has an important role to play in both gameplay and the accessibility of that gameplay. I'm sure those of you that have sunk a significant amount of time into D2 remember certain sounds in particular. And what's important to realize about all of these sounds is that they add a nice bit of extra flavor to items, monsters, and the environment while also signaling important things to the player. For example, how many of you stop dead in your tracks when you hear this sound amidst the carnage of battle? How about the rush you feel when you hear this sound? Or how about the sudden fear upon hearing this sound? Or laughing the first time you heard these sounds. These are all fantastic examples of how effective good sound design can be. It can enhance the impact of some many of different aspects of the game. TLDR: What I'm getting at with this post is that despite the typically touted importance of things like the core gameplay, the graphics, the music, and the writing, sound design deserves a mention when discussing the direction that the franchise will go. Thanks for reading, and I hope I've given you something to think about as we all wait for Diablo 4. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 11:14 AM PST Hi r/Diablo, I'm a returning D3 player who's decided to try out the Necromancer but I can't find much good info on recent competitive builds. Does anyone have any advice for Necromancer builds that are viable for GR pushing in the current meta? [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Feb 2020 03:50 PM PST Basically, is there/what's the best website for a 'list' of diablo 1 and 2 mods? And which ones are generally considered the best? Are there any (recent) threads or sites that actually fully discuss the mods and how people like them? At the current moment I'm looking for stuff that overall improves graphics, QoL, and potentially a bit of a difficulty increase.. maybe a bit more content but not like WAY too much new stuff/core changes (or maybe so I guess, if it's actually well done). Like I checked out the Belzebub videos and it kinda just looked like endless spell spam wiping out entire screens too easily.. and perhaps that was just the sample video, but is it really like this? Even if only eventually? I'm pretty brand new to mods for these games though, and thus quite ignorant. So if I'm way off base lol.. Well that's why I'm asking. Thanks in advance. Help to understand a specific detail about Diablo 1. Posted: 10 Feb 2020 02:22 PM PST Hi, I'm new here and I'm currently playing the first ever Diablo bought from GOG. Now, this may sounds like a stupid question, but I would love to know the weapons damage, for example : Axe has Damage 2-5, [2-5] what does this mean? I wonder if 2 means average damage and 5 max damage or it is something else? p.s I'm new to Diablo, and I wanted to start this adventure with the 1st one. [link] [comments]

Instead of Diablo Immortal, would you prefer a Diablo 3 Mobile instead? Posted: 10 Feb 2020 01:21 PM PST Before you start down voting me, please hear me out. Blizzard mentioned Diablo Immortal to be the mobile franchise for Diablo, I feel that maybe they should have ported Diablo 3 instead of creating a brand new game on mobile. IMO, part of what makes Hearthstone so great is that you use a single account for the PC and Mobile version. If they did this for Diablo 3, I feel that they could've just built on D3 and perhaps even monetize is (wings, pets, etc.) they'll have more people playing and expanding D3's reach. Question regarding Necromancer Posted: 10 Feb 2020 05:16 AM PST I just picked up the game, playing a Crusader and love it, feels like an improved version of the D2 Paladin. But how does the Necromancer compare? I found old posts from a couple years ago saying that the D2 Necro was much better and more fun, but haven't seen anything more recent so figured i'd ask. D2 Necro was a great class so it'd be cool to give it a try [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Feb 2020 12:04 AM PST What we have right now in D3 doesn't sit right with most people. High level paragons give too much power. But you want something from that xp right? So why not loot? After the level cap maybe reward loot each time you fill that xp bar. You could either have a set amount of xp and the same quality of loot drop. Or a scaling one that gives better loot each time.
